Giant Bicycles!
We want to send out a huge thank you to Giant bikes! They sent us quite the care package today to support our trip! It is sooo cool that a major bike company would get behind E2 Quest! Thanks to the parent that talked to Giant and to our local bike shop that added some charm! This is very exciting! The kids were THRILLED to see the stuff that Giant sent!! Thanks again! 2EE
The Theater
Yesterday we took a break from preparing for the trip and we went to Little Red Riding Hood at the Old Log Theater. We loved the play and had a great time.

Planning
We are only about 10 school days away from trip and we are talking about what a day will look like and what jobs we will need to do.
Today I talked with a parent of a kid in our class and she said her goal is to make at least one persons day each day. What a great goal! I can feel a blab coming!

Movin' and Shaking!
We are moving in 2EE. We made a movie on Tuesday and it was great. Today we are performing 3 times. The music program we are doing is awesome! I think that we will be able to put a link on the blog so you can listen to the songs. We should have charged for tickets, we could have used the money for our trip! It is that good!

Learning Carol
We made a class movie today called "The Learning Carol," based on the Dickens classic. Maybe we could sell it to make money for our trip!?

Training Ride
We went for a training ride yesterday. It was clear and cold, really cold. Mr. E says riding in that weather makes you stronger. I don't know about that.

ENTHUSIASM!
We have a parent that is ready to go! Listen to this!
Hello My name is Shari, I’m a mother of 3 girls the middle is in 2nd grade at Oxbow Creek Elementary in Champlin MN . I am so enjoying being a volenteer at her school. My daughter , is heading on a journey with her class. Granted it’s a virtual journey via the internet, and on bicycle. Boy are they heading for some real learning about our country, each student has his or her states to report on the way. Heading the trip it their teacher Mr. Neil Eedrmans. Her teacher is great, I very rarely see someone with that kind of energy. The kids are learning when the don’t even know it!
Which bring me to today I listened to the message of the day and knew the kids were working on coming up with the funds for the trip. I mean we virtually will still need to think of such things you know. So we need some where around 14,000 dollars I heard a student say today. I found myself calling the bike dealer Trail head in Champlinand asking for my first Sponsor for the virtual bike ride across the United States. Larry was very receptive to the idea of real time and place on the journey, hear to find out the store knows Neil thought the biking world and gave the class a shirt, energy bars, jelly beans, BMX bike stickers and got me started thinking.... Huh how cool would it be to find more sponsors for the trip to help the kids out. Next thing you know I was in the car with my youngest and finding sponsors who gave me things for the kids to use for there trip. The last place we stopped was Goodyear who happened to have a poster of the race Car drivers. That was such a great way for the kids to really see how the team members show their sponsors support. It was very cool to see the way the class listened to the lesson in there. Oh the things you can learn when the door is opened. I’m glad I can be a part of that!
As my oldest stands behind me saying only my mom would do this...... Mom you don’t even work there. Well it’s not all about work now is it. And I’ve always told myself you never know in less you ask. As well as everyone loves a good story. Oh what a fun way to show the kids the connection to the internet.and their community.
Thanks to all that found it in in your heart to be a part of the kids in 2ee's journey across the states.
