Summer Stuff 7-10

Dear 3EE Family,

I have been working on reading with a former student this summer using readworks.org.  It is great.  What I have found in his reading is that he is skipping and changing words and what we did is we went back to easier passages with the goal of reading and understanding every word.  When going to readworks.org today don’t be afraid to go to K or first grade selections with the goal that your child is reading every word completely and accurately.  It is so important that the kids nail those words in order to comprehend what they are reading!  Go back that move forward.  I am going to do it with Owen today!

1.Do a readworks selection.

2. Do five minutes of Freerice English Vocabuary.

3. Name 5 genres of writing.

4.  Do 5 minutes of Freerice Math Review

5.  Do 5 problems on Virginia Math

6.  1x(3x2)=(1x3)x?

7. 3.22+2.1+3=?

8. I lb= ___ ounces

9. I yard=_____ inches=_____feet
